2025 CAIS Testing Scheduling Information
All scheduling for CAIS admissions testing with Dr. Lisa Pennington will be completed exclusively through this website. A scheduling calendar will be posted and accessible here at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.
Appointments will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis using the online calendar. Please note that phone and email scheduling will not be available for CAIS testing scheduling this season.
Charlotte Area Independent Admissions Testing
Assessment Team:
Dr. Lisa Pennington is a member of the Charlotte Area Independent Admissions (CAIS) assessment team, specializing in administering cognitive assessments as part of the admissions process.
About the Testing:
Standardized cognitive assessments are administered to evaluate each child's readiness and potential for success in school programs.
JK/TK, Kindergarten, and Grade 1 applicants receive the Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence (WPPSI-IV)
Grades 2-4 applicants receive the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC-V)
CAIS Testing Dates:
TK/JK/K CAIS Testing Complete by February 1, 2025
Grades 1-4 CAIS Testing Completed by February 21, 2025
Application Dates:
TK/JK/K Application Deadline to CAIS Schools--December 31, 2024
Grades 1-4 Application Deadline for CAIS Schools--January 15, 2025
