At Carolina Minds, our groups provide children and teens with practical tools they can use at school, at home, and in relationships. Our groups are led by our experienced counselors in a warm, engaging environment where participants can learn, practice, and build confidence.
Social Skill Building Groups
Created to help children and pre-teens feel more confident in social settings, this group focuses on building the skills needed for positive peer relationships. Participants learn and practice communication, reading social cues, taking turns, problem-solving, managing conflict, and self-advocacy. Through engaging activities and guided support, children develop tools to navigate social situations more successfully.
ADHD/Executive Functioning
Designed to support success at school and home, this group helps children and teens strengthen the skills needed for daily responsibilities and independence. Participants learn strategies for organization, attention, planning, time management, task completion, flexible thinking, and self-control. Through engaging activities and guided support, children gain tools to feel more confident, capable, and successful in everyday routines.
Calm and Confident Kids Group
A fun and supportive group that helps children build the skills to understand and manage big emotions. Children and teens learn strategies for identifying feelings, coping with frustration, handling stress, calming their bodies, solving problems, and responding in positive ways. Through interactive activities and guided practice, children gain confidence and tools to feel more in control at home, school, and with peers.
Better Together: Sibling Group
A social group designed to strengthen sibling relationships, this group teaches children practical skills for getting along at home. Participants practice communication, managing conflict, problem-solving, sharing, teamwork, and understanding each other’s feelings. Through engaging activities and guided support, children develop tools for more positive, respectful, and peaceful interactions with siblings.
