Dr. Amelia Klass

Dr. Amelia Klass is a North Carolina provisionally licensed psychologist and Health Services Provider-Psychologist Provisional (HSP-PP) at Carolina Minds. She earned her Ph.D. in School Psychology from Duquesne University and recently completed her postdoctoral training at Carolina Minds. She previously completed her doctoral internship at the practice under the supervision of Dr. Lisa Pennington. Dr. Klass also holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Miami University and a Master of Science in Education with a concentration in Child Psychology from Duquesne University.

With experience in both school and private practice settings, Dr. Klass provides comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational evaluations, as well as individualized therapy for children and adolescents. She is committed to helping families better understand the learning, behavioral, and emotional factors affecting their children and to developing practical recommendations that support growth across home and school settings.

Dr. Klass believes that children often communicate their needs through their behavior. She values building meaningful connections with children and helping them develop healthier, more effective ways to express themselves. Through a warm and collaborative approach, she works closely with children and their families to strengthen communication, emotional well-being, and confidence.
